This event aims to consolidate political union between Latin American countries against the interventionist campaigns of the United States administration.

The meeting will run until January 24 in Caracas and aims to create an international network that allows generating alternatives to show the reality of Latin America and its struggle against imperialism, says a press release from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting thematic tables will be developed in which aspects such as aggressions of imperialism in 21st century will be addressed; the search for a sustainable economic model: neoliberalism versus social inclusion; the experiences of progressive governments in the world, among others, refers Telesur’s note.

The event is part of the XXV agenda of the Sao Paulo Forum that took place in Caracas last July.

The installation plenary is scheduled in the morning of this Wednesday in the Bicentennial Hall of the Hotel Alba Caracas and in parallel forums and other activities will be taking place in the spaces of the Teresa Carreño Theater during the days of the meeting.
