The Colombian National Army confirmed, since the morning of this Saturday, April 17, new confrontations have been registered between members of the public force and members of the FARC dissidents in the municipality of Algeria, in Cauca. The fighting already leaves fifteen people killed.
The confirmation came from the Army Commander, General Eduardo Enrique Zapateiro, who through his Twitter account reported that, “Units of the Army’s third division report fighting in El Plateado, Algeria, Cauca. Fifteen members of the GAO-r Carlos Patiño were neutralized ”.
