FAO recognizes Venezuela for its scientific work in favor of local food production.

FAO representative in Venezuela, Rolf Hackbart, said that this organization works with the National Government to provide Technical Support to civil society and social organizations, in order to protect biodiversity with cutting-edge technology.
“We are following up on the implementation of an environmental protection and forest control project. Our task at FAO is to know what the Venezuelan State is doing and I must say that I have been delighted with the results they already have in terms of knowledge and science to develop this country in a sustainable, sovereign way, processing healthy food for the people ”, He said.
So in this way, The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Government of Venezuela signed an agreement for three million euros on Friday to continue strengthening the country’s social protection system for food. The representative of the FAO in Venezuela, Rolf Hackbart, reiterated the commitment of the entity to contribute to the agri-food production of that territory. In addition, he visited the Food Packaging Centers for CLAP (CEAC), a government program that guarantees the distribution of basic products to the entire population.
