Venezuela stocktaking requests and execution of extraditions since August 2018

The attorney general of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, presented on Friday a balance of the Public Ministry’s actions regarding requests and execution of extraditions since August 2018.
In a press conference offered from the headquarters of the MP, the Prosecutor stressed that to date, 192 extraditions have been made, of which 136 have been made by Venezuela to other countries, while 36 have been made at the request of the Venezuelan justice.
In that regard, he stressed that since his arrival at the direction of this body by mandate of the National Constituent Assembly (ANC), at the request of the MP, 13 syndicates have been extradited to the country for having committed crimes in our country.
“We have received citizens from Spain, Canada, Russia, the Czech Republic, Peru and Colombia,” evidencing the recognition of the legitimacy of this office outside our border, “he said.
