Venezuelan technical person from the National Institute of Civil Aeronautics carried out, in Mene de Mauroa in Falcón state, the installation of the new CVOR / DME system and activation of the Distance Measurement Equipment (DME) to improve safety in air navigation in the country.Thus guaranteeing the country’s air safety with cutting-edge technology

Distance measuring equipment (DME) is a radio navigation technology that measures the slant range (distance) between an aircraft and a ground station by timing the propagation delay of radio signals in the frequency band between 960 and 1215 megahertz (MHz).
