The United States government is executing increasingly aggressive maneuvers against the Venezuelan economy, society and authorities to destabilize the country, according to international policy analysts.

In an interview with Xinhua, the Venezuelan expert Luis Gavazut said the US foreign policy against Venezuela “has reached the extreme of not even respecting the most elementary humanitarian precepts that are imposed in the planetary epidemiological situation due to the COVID-pandemic. 19 ».

Gavazut explained the North American country “is intensifying the coercive measures against the country, taking advantage of our current vulnerability with the greatest shamelessness to take power by storm in Venezuela, resorting to any available means.”

The researcher in Social Sciences stated the United States cares little about moral nature of its strategies against the South American country, and said in recent months they have resorted to hiring mercenaries and associating with notorious drug-paramilitary leaders, among other media.

The economist also specified that against the country “international sanctions and the (economic-financial) blockade are imposed, coupled with the lack of knowledge of the legitimacy of our public powers by the United States and many other countries, mostly attached to the hegemonic Atlantic sphere. ».

“We must also take into account that Venezuelan parliamentary elections scheduled for December constitute a ‘deadline’ for North American inhuman extremism, due to the reinforcement and revitalization that this could represent for the current government chaired by Nicolás Maduro,” he said. the expert.

Gavazut, who was a researcher for the Economic Observatory for the Presidency of the Republic, said that it is possible that after the parliamentary elections the support of European countries for the foreign policy of the United States against Venezuela will be attenuated or lost.

The analyst estimated that Washington’s interventionist actions “have crossed all the limits of bourgeois morality itself.”

For his part, the political scientist Herick Goicoechea, told Xinhua that the US government “is pressing in different dimensions to surround, hang and suffocate the population in the midst of the pandemic, making it difficult for the country to buy food and medicine, in the field Social”.

He explained that in the economic aspect, the Trump administration acts “by blocking resources and state money that are in accounts in countries under the influence of the financial system directed by the United States, and also blocking the arrival of ships with gasoline, to paralyze the country and generate discontent ».

The professor from the Bolivarian Military University of Venezuela said that from a military point of view, the United States “seeks to generate pressure on the top Venezuelan military commanders to undermine institutional support for the government of President Maduro, with threats of war and invasion.”

In the expert’s opinion, the main strategic objective of the White House is to achieve the exit not only of President Maduro, but of all Chavismo from power.

He stressed that, from his perspective, President Trump “finds himself in a dilemma with regard to Venezuela, on the one hand, he has publicly recognized the failed strategy of confrontation and recognition of (Juan) Guaidó and, on the other hand, he has expressed his desire to change strategy by calling for dialogue ”.

He asserted that weeks ago the United States was considering a “conquest of democracy in Venezuela” with other methods, that is, moving from “hard power” to “smart power”.

Goicoechea estimated that given the sustained failure of its foreign policy towards Venezuela, the United States considered changing the strategy.

The extreme pressures from the White House seek to “protect the functioning of democracy in Venezuela, manage its natural resources, its financial assets, its fixed capital abroad, define who governs and, above all, for whom it governs,” explained the investigator.
