This Thursday, March 25, Senator Feliciano Valencia denounced on his official Twitter account that the FARC dissidents declared the traditional authorities of Caldono, Cauca, and the Indigenous Guard as military targets. Valencia supported his complaint with the pamphlet issued by a column of said illegal armed groups.
In the pamphlet signed by FARC dissidents Jaime Martínez Mobile block , a new threat is issued against Indigenous Guard and Leadership of the Comuneros in Cauca. The guerrilla group stated in its statement that indigenous communities, specifically their leaders, hinder the development of their activities “against the policies of the State.”
“We extend a revolutionary greeting to the entire department of Cauca. In the exercise of our revolutionary policy, we want to show you that this armed organization has always been in Cauca’s territory, carrying out our operations against State policies, “the armed group explained at the beginning of the pamphlet. Lugo stressed that” indigenous leaders have hindered the actions from us ”and added that this“ has cost them great losses for this organization ”. For these reasons, they decided to declare a military target “the Indigenous Guard of the municipality of Caldono, the legal representative of the Cabildos association, Mr. Fredy Campo; Mr. Yesid Conda, leader of the Pitayo reservation and other leaders of neighboring municipalities ”.
They concluded the threat by highlighting that these people have 42 hours “to leave their territories of origin so as not to have to operate our weapons.” The photo above is the pamphlet of the dissidents that the indigenous senator published:
