Russia strengthens Syrian Army with new military equipment
The Syrian Air Force has received new Russian fighter jets.
The Arab news publication AMN reports that in the context of the deliveries of Russian armored vehicles to Syria, a large batch of BMP-1 combat vehicles have been known to have recently entered Army service and in recent months, the Syrian Air Force also received new combat aircraft.

At the moment, it’s unknown what aircraft the Syrian Air Force has received. However, experts express the opinion that several more MIG-29 fighters were transferred to Syria, which will further strengthen Syria’s defense and it is also possible that the country will receive several attack helicopters.

“The Syrian Army reportedly received a new batch of BMP-1 armored personnel carriers, which were transferred by the Russian Armed Forces. During the war, the Syrian Army has modernized its military equipment, especially with regard to the arsenal of armored vehicles. Many of these improvements were made by the Russian ally, which also supported the Army with new equipment such as T-90 tanks and new combat aircraft ”, reports the Arab publication AMN.

Last year, Russia transferred several MIG-29 fighters to Syria and, according to some sources, two Su-24 front-line bombers, significantly strengthening the defense capacity of the Syrian Army.
