Russia deals ‘most powerful’ blow in months to terrorists in Idlib
Russia’s Military Aviation has reportedly carried out its “most powerful” airstrike in recent months against terrorists in northwestern Syria.
As announced by the Al-Masdar News portal, Russian fighters, supported by reconnaissance aircraft that provided intelligence information, attacked several terrorist targets in the southern countryside of the northwestern province of Idlib on Tuesday.
This offensive, the media has specified, is considered the “most powerful” assault that the Russian Air Force has launched against terrorists since March, when Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, agreed to a halt on the fire in Idlib.
Russia has also used short-range Iskander missile system to bombard terrorist positions, the aforementioned source added, underlining that the Russian attacks also had the support of the ground forces of the Syrian Army.
