Thousands of people are entering Ceuta from Morocco in what is considered the biggest migration crisis in recent years in Spain. This unprecedented chaos is leaving shocking images of numerous people crowding the Tarajal beach.
The government of Spain has given 30 million euros to help finance the deployment of the Moroccan police to fight illegal immigration from Morocco to Spain, which caused a new crisis in Ceuta.
Spanish Minister interior Marlaska framed this aid in the policy of “cooperation and collaboration” t the Spanish government has been maintaining for three years with the countries of origin and transit of irregular immigration. The minister explained that this money is destined to the execution of programs ” concrete and solid “in the fight against organized crime and illegal immigration.
President Pedro Sánchez: “We are going to proceed with the immediate return of anyone who has entered Spain irregularly”
“The safety of our compatriots and their tranquility will be defended by the Government of Spain at all times and with all necessary means”
Members of the Moroccan Gendarmerie were seen opening the perimeter gate for illegal Moroccan immigrants to enter Ceuta.
According to Spanish analysts
WHAT IS HAPPENING IN CEUTA?
Well, it’s quite simple, it’s a direct attack / threat against Spanish sovereignty. It is not about flight immigration, created by a need such as leaving a country at war or in extreme poverty. If not an alleged “abandonment” of functions by the Moroccan state that has caused a massive entry of people into Spanish territory.
But the real problem is not the entrance of these people, but what it means that they have entered. That the Moroccan state has orchestrated this, that is the real danger.
We will see what is coming, there is talk of buses full of people approaching the border, of the participation of the Moroccan military and police to make this happen. We will also see what this means for Spain, a country with little infrastructure for both social and economic integration for immigrants, and with the right resources to avoid sinking ourselves.
This situation is being experienced shortly after Morocco warned of a series of consequences after the admission to a Spanish medical center of Brahim Gali, SG of the Polisario Front and president of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic.
