In Myanmar, the fifth brigade of the paramilitary group Karen National Union captured the Tamado military base of the Myanmar Armed Forces, which is located in the Papun region, about 2 km from the border with Thailand. There are dead and wounded, their number is still unknown.

In response, Myanmar army fighter jets today launched airstrikes on a village near the armed ethnic group’s border with Thailand. Local residents report that two people died and two more were injured.
