The Dominican Republic Defense Minister and Admiral Craig Stephan Faller, head of the United States Southern Command, spoke virtually on issues of bilateral relations and regional affairs.

Lieutenant General Carlos Luciano Díaz Morfa and Admiral Craig Stephan Faller discussed the next meeting of the Caribbean Nations Security Conference (CANSEC), which will take place in April 2021.

They also addressed issues related to the military cooperation of the Dominican Republic and the United States and the situation created in the region by the spread of COVID-19 and the role played by the military.

The United States Army recently donated two field hospitals to the Dominican Republic to support the actions carried out by MIDE to contain COVID-19.

Díaz Morfa and Stephan Faller agreed to identify new forms of collaboration with MIDE and to maintain this type of contact.
