A spokesman for the Ministry of Defense of the Lugansk People’s Republic, unilaterally proclaimed in southeastern Ukraine, Yakov Osadchi, announced the loss of a military force belonging to the republic’s forces at the contact line with the Kiev forces.

He said: “In one of the combat sites of the Popular Forces in the direction of Debaltsevo, the soldier who left to inspect the vicinity in difficult weather conditions didn’t return to his workplace.”

He added, “We don’t rule out that the fighter has lost his way due to diminishing vision, and the members of its unit continue to search for him.”

Earlier, additional measures to ensure the truce entered into force in Donbas, including a ceasefire, preventing the deployment of weapons in and near residential communities, and launching offensive, reconnaissance and sabotage operations.

The measures prohibit the recruitment of engineering equipment to the sites and the use of drones by the parties to the conflict at the line of contact.
