As part of the activities contemplated during his visit to New York City, this Wednesday, the Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, received the civil rights activist and African-American Reverend, Jesse Jackson.

During the meeting, the Venezuelan diplomat thanked him on behalf of President Nicolás Maduro for his collaboration and support to the Collective of Protection of the Venezuelan Embassy in Washington, who were besieged by the US government and the Venezuelan radical opposition until their illegal eviction by U.S. police officers

Reverend Jesse Jackson as a gesture of solidarity was responsible for bringing food, water and medicines to these activists , with the consent of the Venezuelan State, remained inside the diplomatic premises.
