Dutch security forces used military weapons during mass protests against government quarantine measures.

Several people were injured by police shooting this Friday (11/19/2021) in Rotterdam, in the south-west of the Netherlands, after groups of protesters against COVID-19 restrictions burned a patrol car and threw stones.
In addition, dozens of people were arrested and seven injured, including police officers, during the night-time protest on a shopping street in the port of Rotterdam, according to authorities. The protests erupted in rejection of coronavirus restrictions and government plans to limit unvaccinated access to some areas.
