The Netherlands Minister of Defense Ank Bikleveld announced , March 24, that the Dutch government has agreed to provide 38 million euros for facility upgrades and new construction at the 405th AFSB’s Army Prepositioned Stock-2 Eygelshoven site in the Netherlands.The 405th AFSB’s Army Support Battalion-Benelux is responsible for this APS-2 site. There are several APS-2 sites under the command and control of the 405th AFSB across Europe.

The 405th Army Field Support Brigade – assigned to the U.S. Army Sustainment Command and under the operational control of the 21st Theater Sustainment Command, U.S. Army Europe and Africa – is headquartered at Daenner Kaserne, Kaiserslautern, Germany, and provides Materiel Enterprise support to U.S. forces throughout Europe and Africa – providing theater sustainment logistics; synchronizing acquisition, logistics and technology; and leveraging the U.S. Army Materiel Command Materiel Enterprise to support joint forces.

405th Army Field Support Brigade operationalizes U.S. Army Materiel Command capabilities and delivers anticipatory readiness within the U.S. European Command and U.S. Africa Command areas of responsibility, at the tactical point of need.
