*The National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh made a statement on the need for international recognition of the Republic of Artsakh. As reported by Armenpress, the statement of the Artsakh National Assembly says:
“Taking into account that on September 27, 2020, the armed forces of Azerbaijan, in gross violation of the UN Charter, launched an armed attack on the Republic of Artsakh along the entire perimeter of the border between the Republic of Artsakh and Azerbaijan,
Stressing the direct involvement of Turkey in the armed aggression against the Republic of Artsakh and its de facto command and control of military operations,
Expressing deep concern over the fact that Turkey and Azerbaijan have attracted militants of terrorist organizations into aggression against the Republic of Artsakh,
Noting that the large-scale armed attack on the Republic of Artsakh continues with increasing intensity and is accompanied by serious violations of the laws and customs used during armed conflicts, including the use of indiscriminate weapons and great destructive power against cities and villages, including the capital, Stepanakert, which led to numerous civilian casualties,
Welcoming the steps taken by the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair States – the Russian Federation, the United States of America and the French Republic, as well as the international community to restore peace in the region and at the same time expressing regret that, due to the destructive position of Turkey and Azerbaijan, these steps did not lead to practical results,
Emphasizing that the next aggression of Azerbaijan against the Republic of Artsakh should be viewed in the context of large-scale and systematic attacks on the civilian population, undertaken by the Azerbaijani side both in peacetime and in wartime from the very beginning of the Artsakh national liberation movement in 1988 to the present day,
Recognizing that the ongoing violations of the fundamental rights of citizens of the Republic of Artsakh and the obstruction of them in the exercise of their inalienable rights are nothing more than a crime against humanity,
The National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh strongly condemns the military aggression of Turkey and Azerbaijan in alliance with international terrorist organizations against the Republic of Artsakh and calls on the parliaments of the countries of the world to recognize the independence of the Republic of Artsakh, which is the most effective means of stopping the ongoing serious crimes against the peaceful population of the Republic of Artsakh and protecting their rights. ”

*Azerbaijani Defense Ministry publishes images of Talish village in Nagorno-Karabakh, which came under the control of its army
Let’s sum up.
Although rather scant information came from the front, apparently related to bad weather, which did not allow the full use of UAVs and survey of distant objects, the battles there obviously continued, although without serious achievements.
The parties are increasingly switching to long-range weapons, which is reflected in an increase in home hits and an increase in the number of dead and wounded civilians.
At the same time, the war began to increasingly affect Armenia, which announced a partial mobilization of those demobilized for military service in 2019. We believe that, first of all, we are talking about such specialties as artillerymen, tankmen and air defense troops.
Against this background, foreign policy activity was quite active. A delegation from Russia arrived in Yerevan, which, apparently, will assess the situation in the NKR on the spot, as well as listen to the position of the Armenian leadership on further actions. Anti-war rhetoric in Europe has intensified, and Canada has introduced de facto partial sanctions against Turkey related to the use of Canadian components in military equipment used in Nagorno-Karabakh. Frankly speaking, the initiative is rather symbolic.
On the whole, the eighth day of hostilities showed that the Azerbaijani side does not intend to just stop the unwound flywheel of the offensive, but the ceasefire conditions put forward are still unacceptable for Yerevan. That is, there are not even starting points for conducting a dialogue yet.
