Ansarolá of Yemen denounces that the US has declared it a terrorist organization, while the North American country is “the source of terrorism in the world.”
“The United States is the source of terrorism, and the policy of the [Donald] Trump Administration is terrorist, and its actions are terrorist,” the president of the Yemeni Supreme Revolutionary Committee, Muhamad Ali al-Houthi, emphasized on Monday.
In this way, through a message issued on Twitter, Al-Houthi has reacted to the new decision of the US, whose Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, has revealed Washington’s intention to declare an international terrorist organization to the Yemeni popular movement Aansarolá.
According to the Yemeni official, the policies applied by the government of the outgoing US president are “reprehensible” and show the crisis in the thinking of the authorities of the North American country.
Faced with such a situation, Al-Houthi has assured that Yemen will respond to this measure by Washington. “We reserve the right to respond to any classification emanating from the Trump Administration or any Administration,” he tweeted.
Previously, the leader of Ansarolá, Abdulmalik al-Houthi, had lashed out at the US for maintaining a “hostile and colonialist vision” towards Yemen due to its strategic position and wealth.
This comes as the United States offers all kinds of support to its main ally in the Western Asia region, namely Saudi Arabia, which since March 2015, together with its partners, has launched an unjust war against the people of Yemen to restore in power the fugitive Yemeni former president, Abdu Rabu Mansur Hadi.
However, the cruel war of the Al Saud has not had any results, except the death of innocent Yemeni civilians and the sinking of the poorest country in the Arab world in the worst humanitarian crisis in the world, as asserted by the United Nations.
