A shame, American soldier guarding the Colombian border
All of Colombia is under US military command, under the pretext of fighting drug trafficking, but it seems to be guarding a business, when the largest producer and the largest consumer work as a team.
According to figures from the United Nations (UN), Colombia is the world’s largest producer of cocaine. In 2019 alone, around 950 tons of that drug were exported from the South American country, most of it to the United States.
Drug production in Colombia continues to grow even as the United States maintains nine military bases in Colombian territory and other alleged collaborative actions against drug trafficking.
